BRIDGING CEREMONY FOR PACK 323 TO TROOP 360
HELD AT WEE TEE PLANTATION
In a one night campout with about 130 people present, four Webelos II's made the transition from Cub Scouts into Boy Scouts. Along with this exciting event, many Cubs made the advancement to the next level of Cub Scouting and the many wonderful volunteers were recognized. Cubmaster, Ernie Stokes, was master of ceremonies and did a great job in leading these boys forward. Troop 360 has developed the tradition of custom building the bamboo bridge seen below for the boys to "bridge" over into Boy Scouts and be representative of the big step they are taking as these young men mature into the future leaders of our society. A special flag burning ceremony was performed after the bridging as boys learned how to respectfully retire a United States flag from service. Pack 323 was again awarded the "Pack of the Year Award" by the District for its outstanding performance this past year. We also provided recognition to Chuck and Robby Cooper for their generous hosting of this event each year at their lovely plantation. This is truly a family event and the food provided by the Cooper family is fantastic! The four newest Boy Scouts are officially members of their new troop and will soon be camping and learning many new skills!
